TL Dallas in Cockermouth has been named Cumbria’s Insurance Broker of the Year in the My Local Awards 2026, after securing the highest number of votes from clients and members of the public.
TL Dallas, which operates a growing office at Lakeland Business Park, was recognised in the Cumbria-wide awards scheme that celebrates local businesses across a range of sectors.
The accolade reflects a period of rapid expansion for the firm’s Cockermouth team, which has grown from two people when it opened in May 2023 to ten, serving commercial and agricultural clients across the county.
The Cumbria team includes Emma Irving, Lynne Taylor, Philip Jackson, Heather Wood, Karen Coombe, Tracy Hickman, Anna Jones, Kelly McCartney Talia Frazer and Hannah McCulloch (joined in January) – many of whom previously worked together, before joining TL Dallas.

Beyond its commercial activity, the firm has maintained a visible presence in the local community, supporting agricultural corporate member of Cumbria Farmer Network, sporting and cultural events, including sponsoring the Jonny Skelton Show & Sale at Mitchell’s Auction Mart – Cockermouth’s largest cattle sale – alongside involvement in events at Workington Golf Club,West Cumbria Rally Committee Event for Young Farmers and supporting Cash for Kids and Team Evie through the TL Dallas Charitable Trust.
