TL Dallas is in Bradford City’s corner for almost a century

TL Dallas first got involved with Bradford City AFC in 1927 and the firm is proud to have sponsored the TL Dallas stand since 2003.

The iconic partnership has made the TL Dallas name synonymous with the south stand at Valley Parade. “A successful football team can contribute massively to the regeneration of a city through the positive spirit it provides, and particularly when it’s a very family and community focused club like Bradford,” explained TL Dallas Group Director, Mike Martin.

“After six long years in League Two, seeing the club promoted with a goal in the final minute of the match was incredible! The celebrations were epic and everyone who has supported the club through the years was absolutely thrilled.”

Within the last year TL Dallas has also partnered with ‘Bradford City Football in the Community’ and added “Community Stand” to the TL Dallas stand to recognise and promote the club’s involvement in encouraging development and support through sport.

Mike added: “The club does amazing work in the community, and in particular helps children and adults to be more aware of diversity, culture and the arts by engaging them in activities outside their existing world. Many are from a background of poverty and deprivation, and just the experience of going to a football game and being part of that wider community is a new and memorable moment for so many.”

In addition to the ongoing and dedicated support of Bradford City AFC, TL Dallas has also become a supporter of the City of Culture 2025. Managing Director at TL Dallas, Polly Staveley who is the great-granddaughter of the firm’s founder, Thomas Lessels Dallas OBE, said: “Since my great-grandfather established our business 106 years ago in Bradford, we have become an integral part of both the city’s business community, and the wider community.

“As well as supporting lots of local charities, including MIND in Bradford, we are also a City of Culture 2025 supporter. We’ve provided a significant financial investment as part of our commitment to Bradford and its cultural ambitions as it’s really important that people see all that our city has to offer, and we feel it’s the duty of businesses like ours to support these efforts.”
