TL Dallas’ Jeremy Burnham to ride The Hiscox Tourmalet Challenge

In just under 4 weeks, on Friday 8th July, TL Dallas’ Jeremy Burnham will join a team of brokers and Hiscox staff for the Hiscox Tourmalet Challenge, cycling Stage 8 of the 2016 Tour de France the day before the professionals.

The gruelling challenge from Lourdes to Bagnères-de-Luchon covers 148 km and includes four seriously steep mountain climbs, not least the iconic Col du Tourmalet which reaches 2115m.

Jeremy is no stranger to fundraising challenges having completed a ‘Penguathlon’ in 2013. This was a three day event cycling from Leeds to Newcastle (106 miles), running the Great North Run the following day (13.1 miles) and then cycling back to Ilkley (100 miles) the next day – while dressed as a penguin!

For the Hiscox Tourmalet Challenge the team of 42 aim to raise a total of £25,000 for charity. Each member of the team has picked their preferred charity and Jeremy has choosen the TL Dallas Charitable Trust with funds going to Alzheimer Scotland, British Heart Foundation, Candlelighters, Mind, Sedbergh Youth & Community Centre and The Joshua Project.
